The Men Universe Model 2019 pageant was held in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic on August 1-10. 25 candidates from Latin America, Caribbean and Europe took part in the competition for the best model. The winner was 21-year-old Jefferson Velasco from Bolivia, who defeated in the final round the representatives of Belgium, Brazil, Switzerland, Nicaragua and Colombia. In the TOP 15 there was a Mexican, representative of Riviera Maya – Carlos Manuel López.
This year’s, 12th edition of the Men Universe Model pageant took place in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic on August 1-10. During the grouping twenty-five candidates participated in television programs and radio interviews, took part in photo sessions and shows during the Men’s Fashion Week. Participants also traveled around the capital of country- Santo Domingo.
The winner of competition was Jefferson Velasco from Bolivia. Men Universe Model 2019 is 21 years old and 188 cm tall. He comes from Santa Cruz. He studies commercial engineering and works in a family company, where he is responsible for marketing.
Jefferson is also an athlete. For several years he was a footballer at Oriente Petrolero. He also practiced kick-boxing, and in 2013 he even won the championship in this field of sport.

In addition to handsome Bolivian in the final round took part Amaury Bent from Belgium (2nd place), Jean Ferrari from Brazil (3rd place), Mac Mcadam from Switzerland (4th place), Junior Iván Rodríguez from Nicaragua (5th place) and Frank Mejia from Colombia (6th place).

Representatives of Austria, Chile, Haiti, Martinique, Panama, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Riviera Maya and Venezuela was completed the TOP 15.
It is worth mentioning that two Mexicans was attended in this year Men Universe Model 2019 pageant:
29-year-old Carlos Manuel López (representative of Riviera Maya)
and 20-year-old Obed Calderón Tapia (representative of Mexico).
