On Saturday, October 26 at the Cove Manila beach club in Parañaque in the Philippines, took place the Miss Earth 2019 final. This year’s winner of this prestigious, ecological beauty contest is 22-year-old Nellys Pimentel from Puerto Rico, who defeated 84 rivals from around the world. Other three titles went to Emanii Davis from USA (Miss Earth Air), Klára Vavrušková from Czech Republic (Miss Earth Water) and Alisa Manenok from Belarus (Miss Earth Fire). Krystyna Sokołowska from Poland was promoted to TOP 10 while Hilary Islas from Mexico was not promoted to the group of semi-finalists.
The Miss Earth 2019 grouping began in the last days of September. For almost a month, the candidates divided into three groups took part in many activities. They participated in the environmental seminar at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, visited the Misamis Oriental province, the Kawit province and the Aquaria Waterpark in the Batangas province. They planted trees and visited children of the Child Haus hospital and the Nayon ng Kabataan orphanage.
During the grouping for the candidates awaited numerous competitions and rivalries. There were, among others swimwear competition, talent contest, national costumes competition, evening gowns competition and conversations with jury members or fashion show.
The Miss Earth 2019 final took place on Saturday, October 25 at Cove Manila Beach Club in Parañaque, Philippines. Participants presented themselves in national costumes, swimsuits and evening gowns.

22-year-old Nellys Rocio Pimentel Campusano from Puerto Rico won the title and crown of Miss Earth 2019. The new Miss Earth is 173 cm tall and comes from San Juan. She is a student of psychology and marketing.
In May, Nellys won the Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2019 pageant, so she could take part in the Miss Earth 2019. In the national competition she also won the Miss Foto title! During the international pageant she won two silver medals, i.e. she took second place in two competitions: in the evening gowns competition and the swimsuit competition!

The Miss Earth Air 2019 title was obtained by a 25-year law graduate Emanii Davis from USA. The Miss Earth Water 2019 title went to 20-year-old biology and chemistry student Klára Vavrušková from Czech Republic, while the Miss Earth Fire 2019 title was won by 24-year-old model and volleyball player Alisa Manenok from Belarus.

Fernanda Méndez Tapia from Chile, Nikki Prein from the Netherlands, Modupe Susan Garland from Nigeria, Tashan Kapene from New Zealand, Krystyna Sokołowska from Poland and Anna Baksheeva from Russia also advanced to TOP 10! It should be noted that this is the first promotion of our representative in this international competition since 2013!

The TOP 20 also includes representatives of England, Philippines, Ghana, Guam, Guyana, Spain, Japan, Colombia, Portugal and Thailand. Unfortunately, among the semi-finalists there was no place for 18-year-old student of odontology – Hilary Islas from Mexico.

It’s good to know that Nellys Pimentel is the first Puerto Rican who ever to win the Miss Earth pageant. She is also the first Caribbean woman to have the title of the most beautiful Earth’s resident.
