26-year-old Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa has become the new Miss Universe! This year’s edition final of the competition took place on Sunday, December 8 in Atlanta, USA. In the fight for the crown which worth 5 million $, Zozibini defeated 89 candidates from around the world. Second place was taken by 24-year-old Madison Anderson from Puerto Rico, while the third place was taken by 25-year-old Sofía Aragón from Mexico. Polish representative, 28-year-old Olga Buława did not get promotion to TOP 20.
The ten-day grouping of the 68th edition of the Miss Universe pageant took place in Atlanta, United States, although it was previously speculated that the competition would take place in South Korea, Philippines or Israel. It was attended by 90 candidates divided into three regions: Asia and Africa, Americas and Europe. From among all participants was selected TOP 20, followed by TOP 10.
Ten finalists took part in the main competition, i.e. shows of swimsuits and evening gowns. Later, the jury selected TOP 5 and TOP 3. Finally, from among the three finalists was selected the most beautiful woman in the universe. In this year this honorable title won Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa.

The winner of Miss Universe 2019 is 26 years old and measures 173 cm tall. She comes from the Tsolo in the Eastern Cape. She graduated public relations and image management studies. She works as a model. Her hobbies are modeling, traveling and shopping. She loves reading books and comics. She is a fan of Jennifer Lopez. Her favorite dishes are umngqusho and pizza!
The beautiful South African woman is also an activist. She is involved in the fight against violence, especially on a gender basis. She’s campaigning to change gender stereotypes. She is a supporter of natural beauty and encourages other women to love themselves as they are.

Zozibini Tunzi is the winner of Miss South Africa 2019 pageant. Earlier she took part in the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2015/2016 and Miss South Africa 2017. Interestingly, that two years ago, in the national competition she lost with Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss Universe 2017.
It is worth knowing that Zozibini Tunzi is the third South African woman who has won the Miss Universe title. She is also the first black representative of South Africa in history who win this competition. Margaret Gardiner (Miss Universe 1978) and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (Miss Universe 2017) triumphed ahead of her.

The 1st Runner-up of Miss Universe 2019 title went to 24-year-old Puerto Rico’s representative. Madison Anderson is 178 cm tall and is a student of marketing and public relations. Earlier she studied fashion and textile design. Her hobbies are boxing, singing and dancing.
Madison Anderson is also involved in social issues. She works with organizations that help people in need and victims of domestic violence. She helps for former prisoners, visits children with cancer and high schools, where she talks with students about preventing bullying.

The 2nd Runner-Up of Miss Universe 2019 title was won by 25-year-old Sofía Aragón from Mexico! The beautiful Mexican woman is 174 cm tall. She is an acting student at the Azteca Training Center. Previously, she studied theater makeup in Los Angeles and image and marketing in Guadalajara.
Sofía Aragón is also a writer, lecturer and businesswoman! She runs her own cosmetics company. She published books on the subject of women’s empowerment. She is a spokeswoman for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

Among the TOP 5 of this year’s Miss Universe 2019 edition were 24-year-old model, Gabriela Tafur Náder from Colombia and 26-year-old model and DJ, Paweensuda Drouin from Thailand.
TOP 10 was completed by 25-year-old Maëva Coucke from France, 20-year-old Frederika Cull from Indonesia, 20-year-old Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir from Iceland, 26-year-old Kelin Rivera from Peru and 28-year-old Cheslie Kryst from USA.
The TOP 20 includes 21-year-old Cindy Marina from Albania, 25-year-old Júlia Horta from Brazil, 22-year-old Mia Rkman from Croatia, 18-year-old Clauvid Dály from Dominican Republic, 23-year-old Gazini Ganados from Philippines, 26-year-old Vartika Singh from India, 26-year-old Olutosin Araromi from Nigeria, 20-year-old Sylvie Silva from Portugal, 20-year-old Thalía Olvino from Venezuela and 27-year-old Thùy Hoàng from Vietnam.
In the Miss Universe 2019 competition could not miss the Polish representative. This time our country was represented by a stewardess, 28-year-old Miss Poland 2018 – Olga Buława. Unfortunately, she failed to repeat Magdalena Swat’s last year’s success, i.e. to reach the TOP 20. However, she received a complementary title – Miss Congeniality awarded by the contestants.
