On Saturday, January 11 (Sunday of Polish time) at the Los Fundadores Theater in Manizales took place the final of Reinado Internacional del Café 2020 pageant. 22 candidates took part in it. Among them was 24-year-old Laura Mojica Romero from Mexico, who took 2nd place and won the title of Virreina Internacional del Café 2020! The winner of the competition was 25-year-old Iris Yazminhe Guerra from El Salvador.
This year’s edition of the Reinado Internacional del Café pageant took place on 4-11 January in the Colombian city of Manizales. Traditionally, the competition has been part of the national fair held annually since 1955. In the final of the 49th Reinado Internacional del Café edition, which took place on Saturday, January 11 (Sunday, January 12 Polish time) at the Los Fundadores Theater, took part 22 participants from countries which producing and exporting coffee. The girls presented themselves on the stage in national costumes and evening gowns. The most beautiful woman was selection by the jury, which included – Pilin León – Miss World 1981 from Venezuela, Sorangel Matos – Miss Panama 2007, participant in Miss Universe 2007 and Miss Continente Americano 2007 pageants, as well as designer Ruben Correa.
The winner of the competition was a 25-year-old model and business administrator from El Salvador – Iris Yazminhe Guerra. Whereas the 2nd place and the Virreina Internacional del Café 2020 title (synonymous with the title of main runner-up) was won by Laura Mojica Romero from Mexico!

Laura Mojica is 24 years old and 174 cm tall. She comes from San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, but lives in Boca del Río. She is a graduate of bachelor studies in business management. Currently studying finance (master’s degree). She works as a model and professional make-up artist. Her hobbies are contemporary and folk dance as well as volunteering.
Laura Mojica has already participated in several beauty contests. She won the Miss Earth Oaxaca 2015 pageant and took part in the Miss Earth México 2015 competition, where she took 2nd place and won the Miss Earth Air 2015 title (1st Runner-Up).
In 2018, she became the winner of Miss Oaxaca 2018 election and took part in the prestigious Miss México 2019 competition! During the final of the first phase she took 3rd place, winning the 2nd Runner-Up title! On Wednesday, November 13, the Miss Mexico Organization appointed her as the official representative of Mexico in the International Coffee Queen 2020 pageant! As you can see it was a very good choice!

Laura Mojica Romero is the fourth Mexican representative who win the Virreina Internacional del Café title. Previously, 2nd place in this competition was taken by Ana Patricia Núñez Romero (1981), Lorena León García (1983) and Eva Ruiz Torres (2001). Only once the Mexican woman managed to win – Marílu Acevedo triumphed in 2017.
