On Monday, May 18 in the media appeared sad news. Andrzej Bizoń – Mister Poland 2000 winner and the Polish representative in the Mister Intercontinental 2000 pageant died at the age of 44. The cause of model’s and non-professional actor’s death was ankylosing spondylitis.
Andrzej Bizoń was born on January 13, 1976 in Witkowice, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. In 2000, He became the laureate of the title of Mister Beskids and in June of the same year, he took part in the Mister Poland 2000 pageant, which the finale was held at the Dramatic Theater in Warsaw. The 24-year-old boy was a student at the University of Infrastructure and Management in Warsaw. He also ran his own construction and clothing company. He was 189 cm tall.
After winning the titles of Mister Poland 2000, Mister Audience and Mister Gentleman Monthly, Andrzej Bizoń set out to conquer Europe – he took part in the Mister Intercontinental 2000 competition. Pageant were held in Hanover, in Germany and a handsome Pole presented himself, among others in national costume. It was the Polish nobility costume that he presented at the time brought him a prize for the best national costume!

Over the next six months Andrzej Bizoń worked as a model in Milan. However, in 2001, he returned to the country and took part in the first Polish reality show, i.e. the program Dwa Światy. He spent eleven weeks on the set, finishing 8th place. Later, he left again, this time to Germany, where he worked as a model. After returning to Poland, he continued to work as a model, mainly during photo shoots for magazines. He also became a dancer of the SeXtet group.

Andrzej Bizoń was not only a model, but also a non-professional actor. He has appeared in Polish films and TV series. Among the titles which he starred in are Pogoda na jutro (2003), Na Wspólnej (2003), Czego się boją faceci, czyli seks w mniejszym mieście (2004), Niania (2006) i Dublerzy (2006).
In 2010, Andrzej Bizoń fell ill with ankylosing spondylitis. The disease caused complete paralysis and blindness. He fought until May 17. He died of suffocation due to illness…
